Purpose of Conference

This conference is intended to provide you with the opportunity to:

Formally present your research projects and practice experiences.
Interact and broaden relationships with other resident colleagues.
Meet with leaders in institutional pharmacy practice.
Augment your knowledge base as you embark on your careers.

Conference Format

Your formal presentation is a significant component of our program, but there are other components as well.

Another exciting event is planned for Thursday evening.... hours of fun at a game night at the Hershey Lodge.

Wednesday:
We have invited nationally and internationally recognized speakers to address you and your preceptors.

Resident Platform presentations will begin on Wednesday afternoon and continue all day on Thursday and Friday morning. This is your opportunity to present your research to an interested group of your peers.

A Resident Poster session is held on Wednesday evening. This is an opportunity to present your research one on one with interested residents and preceptors from around the region. Expect a packed house to discuss your project with you!

A social reception with hors d’oeuvres will also be held on Wednesday evening immediately following the Poster Session which will give you an opportunity to interact with residents and preceptors from your program and others.

Thursday and Friday:
The Resident Platform presentations are scheduled for all day Thursday and Friday morning. This is an opportunity to present your research to an interested group of your peers.

Another exciting event is planned for Thursday evening.... hours of fun at a game night at the Hershey Lodge.

Resident Instructions

All residents attending the Eastern States Conference must register for the conference and submit an abstract by February 12, 2010.

The fee for resident conference registration is $350 and must be postmarked by March 30th or a late fee will apply. See the FAQ page for more information.

The resident registration fee includes the cost of the 2 night hotel stay. All residents MUST stay with other residents registered for the conference. Lodging costs will not be covered if residents chose to room with a non-resident (ie, significant other, friend, family member). Residents will be given the option of selecting up 2 roommates for the conference. Those who do not select a roommate will have a roommate of the same gender selected for them by a member of the Eastern States Conference Advisory Board.

Residents may register for the meeting and submit their abstract at any time up until the deadline of February 12th (i.e. no need to wait until February 12th to register and submit their abstract at the same time). Due to a limited number (400) of available platform slots, registering early has its benefits! Those who register after all the platform slots have been taken MUST present a poster.

Payment for this year's conference may be made via a check or via paypal. All residents wishing to pay via paypal are encouraged to follow the links at the time of registration.
